Education: A high school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training in automotive repair is often preferred.
Certifications: ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications are highly valued and sometimes required.
Experience: Previous experience as an auto mechanic or in a related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, equipment, and software to diagnose and repair vehicle issues.
